FIANARANTSOA - AMBALAVAO – AMBOHITSAMBO
Departure from Fianarantsoa to the city of Ambalavao. Around 9:00 am, we start our hike with a visit of the lambalandy "Silk fabric" workshop, then visit the Chan Foui factory, where we will discover the plantation and the process of wine making .
Then, continuation of our hike; from afar you can see the famous rocky mountain called "Ampela matory" which means reclining woman.
Visit of the local rum making and picnic by the Mananatagnana river.
After this visit, we cross the river with a traditional canoe; discovery of the Betsileo villages with its unique architectures.
On the trail, there are aloalo, traditional tombs, and monuments. Welcome by the local population and animation with their traditional songs such as Horija, vakodrazana ...
Night in bivouac or at the inhabitant's
AMBOHITSAMBO - AMPIAFAGNA – AMBALAVAO
After breakfast, we continue our way to the Nile Crocodile River. We could see them sunbathing and then we reach the village of Ampiafagna.
Opportunity to participate in their daily activities such as rice transplantation…. Then visit the basketry workshop and discover the Betsileo culture like savika.
Lunch at the inhabitant or picnic
We cross the extraordinary landscapes with its granite formations and its fauna such as chameleons and lizards of our island.
End of our hike by a zebu cart which brings us back to our car
